The Department of Religious Studies at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of the Computational Study of Religion, beginning August 2025.
Tree Trimmer - 524567
The Tree Trimmer performs a variety of skilled tasks involved in the care, maintenance and removal of ornamental and large shade trees using specialized vehicles and equipment. Operates hand and power tools in pruning and tree maintenance. Installs cables and braces in trees to assure that trees or limbs will fall in designated areas. Climbs trees using ropes, hooks or cables. Operates a bucket truck. Works closely with Horticulturists to identify and plan work activities. Must drive and safely operate a hydraulic lift bucket truck. May act as a lead worker.
Orientation and Special Event Coordinator - 525161
The Orientation and Special Events Coordinator plans, implements, manages, and administers comprehensive high school on campus recruitment events which include Sibling Orientation Program, University Days, and other special events that relate to high school groups. Supports coordination of Bama Bound, UA's new student orientation. Assists with the supervision of undergraduate and graduate students. Assists with managing budgets.
Academic Advisor I - 525266
The Academic Advisor I provides guidance to University students on academic progress, courses, University resources, etc. Identifies courses to be completed in upcoming semesters. Explains University and College policies. May teach compass course as needed.
Communications Specialist I - 525267
The Communications Specialist I writes and edits communications for a department, college, and/or division under general supervision. Develops and implements plans, activities, and tactics to support the goals of assigned areas. Coordinates the production of materials and resources through a variety of platforms, including digital and physical mediums.
Construction Project Manager - 525272
The Construction Project Manager oversees construction and renovation projects from initial request to one-year inspection. Reviews all project information for accuracy and completeness. Coordinates project information with Field Coordinators to ensure project is constructed according to contract documents.
Data Scientist I - 525244
The Data Scientist I assists in data management and integration efforts across the university, state, and federal agencies. Develops processes to extract, transform, and load data into common data repositories. Coordinates creating new databases, performing database backups and restores, user maintenance, and ensuring database performance.
Staff Therapist II - 525254
The Staff Therapist II provides clinical services to clients. Completes client assessments. Performs case management and documentation duties. Serves as a liaison among stakeholders.
Groundskeeping Spray Technician - 525265
The Groundskeeping Spray Technician applies herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers in roadsides, ditches, easements, ornamental plants, etc. Inventories, distributes, stores, and purchases herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers. Mixes herbicides and chemicals for the purpose of spraying. Calibrates computer equipment and calculates percentages desired in the mix of various herbicides. Plans and carries out work, resolving any problems in accordance with instructions, policies and accepted practices, and federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. Drives various vehicles from site to site. May serve as a lead worker over other Grounds employees.

The Accounting Assistant III maintains accurate financial records. Provides accounting and bookkeeping support.

The Sales Associate I performs various retail support activities under close supervision.
Construction Support Assistant I - 525249
The Construction Support Assistant I assists in the organization and coordination of construction office operations, procedures, and resources. Oversees the construction submittal process on all projects. Communicates and collaborates with the designer of record to retrieve and log submittals.
Career Center Program Manager - 525250
The Career Center Program Manager provides oversight and planning for the development, implementation, and delivery of program(s), service(s), and/or activity(ies) within the Career Center. Coordinates career development and engagement efforts. Provides oversight for career-related outreach and marketing to students, alumni, and prospective students.

The Recreation Field Technician maintains and prepares the Recreation Field complex for the multi sports activities.

The Producer designs and produces low- to moderate-complexity multimedia programming under moderate supervision. May provide guidance to entry-level Producers.
Research Engineer - 525260
The Research Engineer uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization to perform varied scientific research requiring application and adaptation of established techniques, procedures, and criteria. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard scientific techniques, procedures, and criteria to accomplish a variety of research assignments. Performs various research projects to include conducting experiments, writing research proposals, writing technical papers and research reports.
Student Services Assistant - 525261
The Student Services Assistant aids in a variety of activities associated with student services for a department or college.
