Job Summary: The Automotive Technician II repairs and maintains automobiles, trucks, and tractors, golf carts, mules, trailers, and other equipment in accordance with standard trade practices. Assists with vehicle cleanup, changing batteries, hoses and lines, repairing flat tires, installing wiper blades, and assisting customers with fueling. Provides guidance, trains, and/or may supervise entry-level Automotive Technicians.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of professional vehicle / marine repair experience to include some automotive repair experience. Successful completion at an Automotive or Marine Technical Trade Center. Must possess one (1) or more Automatic Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s).
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have a valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at the time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
