Seeking a 9 month Clinical Assistant Professor with a broad range of experience to teach in
undergraduate and/or graduate programs. Candidates with prior teaching and/or established record of scholarship preferred. The Capstone College of Nursing has over 2,300 students enrolled in programs leading to BSN, MSN, DNP, EdD and PhD degrees. At the MSN level, we offer concentrations for Nurse Administrators, Family Nurse Practitioners, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. We offer both post BSN and post MSN entry points in our DNP and PhD programs.
Minimum Qualifications
A doctoral degree in nursing or a related field is required. Additional requirements include the ability to practice as a registered nurse in Alabama. Advanced practice experience and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred. Established program of research/ scholarship preferred. This is a non-tenure earning clinical position, which is renewable for 3-year periods at the discretion of the Dean based on performance, funding and need. This is not a distance-based position. Faculty are expected to be present on campus.
